Tom Homan, nominated as ‘border czar’ by President-elect Donald Trump, has vowed to cut federal funding to states that do not align with his upcoming immigration policies, while also revealing that he has faced death threats.
During an appearance on Mark Levin’s program, Life, Liberty and Levin, on Sunday, Homan discussed the “border crisis” during an interview.
Levin, a supporter of Trump, informed Homan that he possesses a “formidable tool” against governors, particularly those from sanctuary cities, who refuse to comply with the Trump administration’s initiatives. “If you have a governor who declares, ‘I’m not going to cooperate’…then federal funding should be significantly reduced for that state, and I mean drastically, so that the citizens of that state recognize the governor as the one accountable,” Levin stated.
Homan affirmed this sentiment. “That’s definitely going to happen. Trust me, President Trump is going to execute that,” he asserted.
Homan then mentioned that he has been “under attack” and that his family is currently residing elsewhere. “This administration has flipped this situation on its head, and now I’m facing attacks,” Homan remarked. “I have received death threats; my family isn’t even residing in our home at this moment,” he elaborated, without providing additional details.
“You might despise Trump, but you should prioritize your community over your disdain for President Trump,” Homan articulated.
Last week, Homan cautioned Democratic governors who criticized him on Fox and Friends, telling them to “get the hell out of the way” and “don’t overstep that boundary.”
