Inside Donald Trump’s close-knit circle, a pressure initiative is unfolding—but not for the reasons one might assume.
According to a report from Page Six on Thursday, Melania Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are teaming up to persuade the president-elect to alter his fast-food habits and adopt a more nutritious diet.
The two are allegedly going to great lengths to prompt this shift, with an unnamed insider informing the gossip publication that Melania, a former supermodel, has even begun cooking meals for her 78-year-old spouse.
“At times, Melania has been preparing family dinners at Trump Tower for the president and their son, Barron,” a source disclosed to Page Six. “She’s actively motivating him to opt for healthier options.”
This initiative isn’t something new. The report indicated that Melania, aged 54, has been encouraging Trump to avoid desserts at Mar-a-Lago for several months as he eyes a potential comeback to the White House.
Known for his stubbornness, it’s uncertain how much influence Melania and Kennedy will actually have. Another source within the MAGA community told Page Six that their claims were “nonsense” and insisted that “Trump eats whatever he desires.”
The president-elect’s disturbingly unhealthy eating habits are well-known. A book by his former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, disclosed that Trump’s extravagant McDonald’s order once consisted of “two Big Macs, two Filet-O-Fish, and a chocolate malted”—adding up to an impressive 2,400 calories.
This striking information surfaced in 2017, when Trump was a sprightly 71. However, more recent evidence suggests that his love for fast food remains unchanged.
During a college football game in September, Trump supposedly made a suite order that included two Filet-O-Fish sandwiches with cheese, stadium hotdogs, Domino’s pizza, and Diet Coke.
The following month, Trump seemed to turn to McDonald’s once again. Outside his hush-money trial in New York City, aides in dark suits were seen bringing in six large brown bags from the fast-food chain into the courthouse where Trump awaited.
To find Trump’s most talked-about fast food order, we need to go back to 2019. That was when he famously made a $5,500 order from various fast food restaurants to cater for the Clemson University football team—and soon after, a similar order for the North Dakota State team—during a government shutdown.
Kennedy, 70, has a different perspective on fast food than his new associate. He has labeled the junk food available on Trump’s private jet as “just poison,” yet he recently posed with some McDonald’s for a picture with Trump on his aircraft.
This Kennedy heir is committed to the mission to “Make America Healthy Again” and may be starting his healthy-eating campaign with the soon-to-be commander-in-chief. Whether he will achieve any success is yet to be determined.
