During a virtual meeting with supporters on Tuesday, Vice President Kamala Harris appeared intoxicated while she expressed gratitude for their campaign contributions and asserted that the “battle isn’t finished.”
“The struggle that drove our campaign, a battle for liberty and opportunity, hasn’t concluded on November 5. The fight for the dignity of every individual? That hasn’t concluded on November 5,” Harris remarked in her initial public statements following the election concession, seemingly mangling sentences, slurring some words, and grimacing sporadically.
“A struggle for the upcoming days, a time when everyone experiences the promise of America? No,” she went on. “A battle centered on the principles of our nation, the principles that embody America’s promise? That battle isn’t over.”
“I recognize this is a time of uncertainty,” Harris later stated.
“I am fully aware of that. I know you understand it too, and it may feel burdensome. I must remind you: Never allow anyone to strip you of your power. You possess the same strength you did prior to November 5, along with the same purpose and the same capability to engage and inspire. So do not allow any person or situation to take your power away.”
During the discussion, Harris also disclosed that her campaign raised $1.4 billion.
The subject of finances arose earlier in the day when several senior officials from the campaign appeared on the Pod Save America podcast. There, campaign chair Jennifer O’Malley Dillon highlighted that a significant portion of the spending targeted “very elusive voters” in every battleground state.
“We aimed to increase our investment in digital outreach… because we’re focused on reaching young individuals, trying to engage those lower-propensity voters who were disengaged from the political process,” she mentioned.
Senior campaign advisor David Plouffe leveled accusations against the Trump campaign for collaborating with affiliated super PACs. He suggested that Democrats should adopt a similar strategy.
“We must stop playing a different game concerning super PACs compared to the Republicans. We appreciate our Democratic attorneys,” he stated. “I’ve had enough of this, alright? They coordinate more effectively than we do—I believe among themselves and with the presidential campaign. Honestly, I’m just beyond frustrated, alright? Therefore, we cannot continue to be at a disadvantage.”
After the video concluded, Kamala likely went off for a little nap…
