Trump Faces ‘Backlash’ for Alleged Imitation of Infamous Nazi Rally at Madison Square Garden

In possibly the most ridiculous story of the season (and there’s been quite a few, admittedly), an ex-Democratic strategist has alleged that Donald Trump is trying to replicate the language and feelings associated with the Third Reich.

During a segment on Sunday, MSNBC host Jen Psaki questioned political advisor James Carville regarding his guidance to the Kamala Harris campaign to revert to their messaging portraying the Republican presidential candidate as “frightening” after a decline in the effectiveness of Tim Walz’s signature “strange” jabs at the Trump campaign.

“I didn’t realize when I mentioned that he would actually appear on TV and declare that he intends to mobilize the military to arrest his political foes,” Carville explained. “At the time I spoke, I had no idea he would organize a rally at Madison Square Garden to imitate the Nazi gathering of February 10, 1939.”

Carville was alluding to the Trump campaign’s recent decision to conduct a rally on October 27, just days ahead of the presidential election in November, at Madison Square Garden. This venue is historically significant as it hosted a pro-Hitler assembly of around 20,000 attendees, orchestrated by the Nazi-affiliated German American Bund, on February 20, 1939, featuring images of George Washington encircled by swastikas.

Amidst a Democratic backlash regarding the venue selection, prominent Republican leaders have retorted against perceived parallels between the two events, with New York Senator Rob Ortt asserting that any critique amounts to “not merely a repugnant analogy” but also “a serious aggravation of the perilous rhetoric following two direct threats against President Donald Trump’s life.”

However, Carville stood firm in his warnings on Sunday afternoon. “What about for once considering American history and reflecting on what could transpire? They are indicating to you that we are not fabricating this,” he stated.

Of course, it has clearly slipped Mr Carville’s mind that Madison Square Garden is the premier concert venue in NYC and has hosted literally hundreds of thousands of differing events of every description since opening in 1879… including both the 1924 and 1992 Democratic Party conventions!

Anyhoo, Carville continues…“They have vowed military roundups. They have asserted that hell will be unleashed upon their adversaries,” he continued, seemingly drawing a parallel between Trump’s language and that of Nazi officials. “They are signaling to you that these actions are forthcoming. Please, pay attention to them right now.”

Ladies and gentlemen… we just print the news… election-season insanity (and Trump Derangement Syndrome) is for properly qualified medical professionals.
