Shortly after being inaugurated on Monday, President Donald Trump engaged in a spirited dance wielding a military sword to “Y.M.C.A.,” a popular disco anthem by The Village People.

Alongside Vice President JD Vance and their partners, Trump took to the stage at the Commander-in-Chief Ball for a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony as they made their rounds among inaugural festivities throughout Washington following their oaths of office, marking the beginning of Trump’s tenure as the 47th president and Vance as the 50th vice president.

Trump enthusiastically raised his hands and moved his hips in a signature dance that became a staple of his campaign rallies. Vice President Vance and second lady Usha Vance watched Trump dance with amused expressions, while the typically reserved first lady Melania Trump joined in by softly mimicking his gestures and mouthing the lyrics to the song.
