Lara Trump, despite the continuous warnings from her father-in-law about utilizing his power for vengeance against those he considers his political foes, stated that there’s nothing to fear.
“Anyone feeling scared at the moment should not let that fear consume them,” Trump, who serves as the co-chair of the Republican National Committee, remarked to Washington Post journalist Carol Leonnig during Thursday’s Global Women’s Summit.
According to Trump, the election season witnessed “significant fear tactics” aimed at the former president, an accusation she labeled as “totally unjust and unfair.”
Trump’s previous chief of staff, John Kelly, has labeled him a “fascist” who admires Adolf Hitler, a view shared by thirteen former officials from the Trump administration.
In similar fashion, Mark Milley, the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, referred to Trump as a “total fascist.”
Regardless of Trump’s remarks about executing Milley, his daughter-in-law asserted that there is no need for alarm.
“People are going to come to understand that when Donald Trump assumes office again for his second term, he is not fixated on revenge or any form of retribution,” she expressed.
“In fact, he has stated, ‘My revenge will be success.’ He will dedicate himself wholeheartedly to serving the American populace,” she added. “He is not embarking on a revenge mission. He’s not on a quest for retribution.”
Over the years, Trump has made numerous threats.
A few months prior, he insisted that Vice President Kamala Harris should be “impeached and prosecuted.” He threatened to deploy the military against “the enemy within,” which he identified as including Democratic Rep. Nancy Pelosi. Moreover, former Rep. Liz Cheney, Trump declared in a Truth Social post back in March, “should be imprisoned.”
