Tom Homan, who serves as Trump’s border chief, has expressed indifference towards Selena Gomez’s emotional response regarding plans for mass deportations, asserting that he will continue his efforts “without any apologies.”
The singer shared an emotional, now-deleted Instagram story in which she cried over the policy, saying, “All my people are getting attacked. The children. I don’t understand. I’m so sorry.” The video was also accompanied by a caption reading “I’m sorry” along with an image of the Mexican flag.
During an interview on Fox News on Monday, Homan remarked, “We’re going to carry out this job and uphold the laws of this nation. If people are unhappy, they should approach Congress to amend the law… no apologies, we’re pressing ahead.”
He was subsequently questioned about Gomez’s video again on Hannity. “We’ve lost a quarter of a million Americans to fentanyl that flowed across an unsecured border—where are the tears for them?” Homan stated. He further alleged that around 500,000 children have been “sex trafficked into this nation.” “This administration is unable to locate over 300,000—where are the tears for them?” Homan inquired.
