Have the Democrats altered their stance regarding Donald Trump since he secured his win on Election Day? Political analyst Charlamagne Tha God seems to believe that is the case.
During the Friday segment of The Breakfast Club radio show, which he co-hosts, Charlamagne expressed his view that it’s “odd” that Democrats appear to have ceased their narrative of labeling Trump as a “fascist.”
“They’re not characterizing him as a threat to democracy, they’re not referring to him as a fascist,” he stated to his co-hosts. “It makes you question how much of it they truly believed.”
A guest interjected, mentioning that Democrats “can’t” maintain that rhetoric toward Trump now, “He’s the most influential individual globally.” However, Charlamagne remained skeptical.
“Just on Monday, they were calling him that, and I would think if they genuinely believed it, there would be speeches about how America messed up and things are set to get really grim,” he remarked. “It leads you to wonder how much of it they actually believed? And how much was merely for show.”
Charlamagne’s remarks sparked backlash from various commentators online, who labeled him as yet another “flip-flopping media puppet,” according to the Daily Mail.
Among the critics was right-wing provocateur and unsuccessful Missouri secretary of state candidate Valentina Gomez.
“Charlamagne has revealed himself just like the others as a paid propagandist and a deceiver,” she commented.
