Steve Bannon is intensifying his assault on Elon Musk, and this time he’s making threats of violence.
The MAGA faction has been engulfed in controversy this week regarding Musk’s initiative to advocate for H1-B visa immigrants. Critics like Bannon, a former strategist for the president-elect, and Trump supporter Laura Loomer insist that foreign workers should be expelled and replaced with “true” Americans.
During the final episode of Bannon’s War Room podcast for the year, he delivered a menacing warning to the SpaceX CEO: “Don’t come up and take the stage and… start preaching to people about how things are going to be… If you choose to do that, we will destroy you.”
Musk stirred up debate this week after he endorsed a post that criticized Americans as being too “uninformed” to occupy all the roles in the tech sector. “The reason I’m in America, along with many pivotal people who established SpaceX, Tesla, and countless other companies that fortified America, is because of H1-B,” the owner of X stated over the weekend on his platform. “Step back and F— YOURSELF in the face. I will engage in a battle over this issue the likes of which you cannot begin to fathom.”
Bannon lashed out at Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, who co-leads the Department of Government Efficiency and is a fervent supporter of H1-B, during a tirade on Tuesday.
“Listen, I’ve taken down bigger opponents than those two a decade ago, alright,” Bannon remarked about them. “We don’t need white South Africans lecturing us on how things ought to function.”
He further asserted that the country requires a pause on immigration entirely.
“At this moment, I say we need to enforce a halt on all immigration,” Bannon added, “including all students, everything.”
In contrast, Donald Trump has sided with Musk in the immigration visa dispute. “I’ve always supported the visas; I have always backed the visas. That’s why we have them,” remarked the president-elect.
