Tesla has unveiled its new version of the Model Y, a high-range and rear-wheel drive variant with a more affordable price for the customer.
For some time now, Tesla has been one of the benchmarks in the electric car segment, and if now it is added that the autonomy of one of its bestsellers increases (The Model Y was the best-selling model in 2023) and also the price drops, things can only get better, benefiting the consumer.
Among Tesla’s objectives with this model, they emphasize perfecting a model that has already been a sales success, in order to make it more accessible to users and thus accelerate the transition to sustainable energy.
This new version starts at 48,990 euros and offers a range of 600 km approved by the European WLTP cycle, in addition, efficiency has been optimized to approve a consumption of 14.9 kWh per 100 km, features that make it a very attractive option and even a preference compared to its direct rivals such as the BMW iX2, Audi Q4, Mercedes Benz EQA, or Lexus UX300e.
Among the advantages that Tesla also has over other brands is access to the brand’s supercharger infrastructure, the largest in the world, which, however, this model does not have free and unlimited access to unlike the X and S models.
The technological innovations that Tesla incorporates into its models and that this version also includes, make the cabin a space designed for the total comfort of passengers where there is the possibility of preheating or cooling the car before getting in through the application, viewing streaming platforms on the central screen, or preparing a route with charging suggestions and time reduction to the destination just by indicating where you want to go.
