LPL Financial has welcomed a new five-member team from Ameriprise Financial into its broker-dealer, RIA, and custodial platforms. This group, named Apex Private Wealth Advisors, is based in Santa Rosa, California, and oversees nearly $650 million in assets related to advisory, brokerage, and retirement plans. The team includes financial advisors Brett Howard, Marco Rivera, Brooks Crissey, Henry DesJardins, and Ryan Mason.

Brett Howard and Henry DesJardins established Apex Private Wealth Advisors in 2017. The firm provides a diverse array of services, which encompass tax and estate planning, retirement strategies, wealth preservation, charitable contributions, and responsible investing.

This firm primarily caters to affluent individuals, families, and corporate clients. “We operate as a closely-knit circle of friends and treat each other like family, collaborating to empower our clients to confidently navigate their financial futures,” stated Howard. He emphasized that their focus on personalized service is crucial in building lasting client relationships.

The decision to join LPL stemmed from a pursuit of increased flexibility and superior resources. Rivera shared, “Our transition signifies our evolution as an independent practice and our commitment to enhancing our capability to fulfill our clients’ needs with cutting-edge tools, resources, and support.”

Howard also pointed out how LPL’s technological infrastructure played a significant role in their choice, asserting, “We greatly value LPL’s integrated systems that enable us to optimize our processes, improve client engagement, and prioritize what truly matters – providing outstanding financial advice and service to our clients.”

This recent recruitment effort is a key component of LPL Financial’s ongoing initiative to attract elite talent with significant client assets, thereby enhancing its competitive edge and service delivery for high-net-worth clients.
