During a lively rally in Las Vegas late Thursday, Kamala Harris took a sharp jab at Donald Trump, branding him as “obsessed with revenge” and “consumed with grievance.” It’s not exactly groundbreaking, but hey, at least she’s consistent.
Meanwhile, in Glendale, Arizona, the former president was up to his usual antics, targeting former GOP Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney with a comment that made it sound like he’s auditioning for a role in an action movie: “She’s a radical war hawk — let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, OK? Let’s see how she feels about it when the guns are trained on her face.” Hasta la vista, baby!
Trump also took a moment to elucidate about his future electoral prospects, claiming he was “on track to win” if only “we can keep that cheating down.” Y’know, the accusation of widespread vote-rigging that the media STILL haven’t even bothered to investigate in FOUR YEARS before calling it false.
In the same speech, he touted his own brilliance by calling himself a “genius,” thanks to his trademark stream-of-consciousness communication style, which he affectionately dubs “the weave.”
Trump didn’t stop there. He also threw shade at Harris, President Biden, and former national security adviser John Bolton, mocking their intelligence. Meanwhile, he described his political adversaries as both communists and fascists, dubbing them “sick puppies” for daring to label him as authoritarian. Classic Trump.
This election’s closing moments have become quite the spectacle: Harris is laying out her case against Trump, concentrating on fear tactics over actual policy plans, while The Don gleefully bounces around with his grievances and insults. His closing message? “Kamala broke it, Trump will fix it.” But during his chat with Tucker Carlson in Arizona, he seemed more interested in throwing verbal darts at anyone who’s ever questioned him, especially regarding the January 6 Capitol riot.
And just to spice things up further, Jennifer Lopez introduced Harris at the rally, passionately declaring that Harris would fight for “the freedom of immigrants and immigrant families to chase the American dream, the freedom of workers to afford housing, education, food and life’s essentials, and the freedom of women to choose what we do with our bodies.” Of course, she conveniently forgot to mention the impact on those same workers from uncontrolled illegal immigration… something Trump has made a cornerstone of his own campaign.
Just four more days, folks, and the madness (might) be over…
