Donald Trump’s eagle has touched down.
More specifically, his Maltese falcon has landed—Sergio Gor is once again on U.S. ground after he and his reconnaissance team, which included Donald Trump Jr., wrapped up a peculiar objective to elevate Greenland.
A 38-year-old immigrant from the Mediterranean Republic of Malta, Gor is a spirited and staunch supporter of Trump, renowned for energizing the dance scene at Mar-a-Lago, where his DJ skills have earned him the title “mayor of Mar-a-Lago.”
In the near future, however, he will have the federal workforce buzzing with MAGA supporters in his new influential position as Donald Trump’s “mayor of hiring.”
Before embracing those significant duties, Gor traveled on Trump Force One alongside friends including Don Jr. and conservative media star Charlie Kirk, 31, on a reconnaissance mission to determine if Greenland is truly as popular as claimed—or ostensibly for a podcast recording. Their expedition also coincided with the president-elect’s reluctance to dismiss the possibility of using military action to claim Greenland from Denmark.
While touring Nuuk, the capital of the island, Kirk, Trump Jr., and Gor enjoyed lunch in a quaint café where locals wore red “Make America Great Again” caps, and the forthcoming 47th president of the United States—who seems eager to govern the arctic location as well—called in with a message.
Regarding Gor, former Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz mentioned to The Washington Post, “I have never participated in a Sergio DJ party where a conga line didn’t ensue.”
This conga talent may be a reason why Trump opted for him to be his new director of the White House Office of Presidential Personnel. However, despite Trump’s fondness for playful music, loyalty and reliability are paramount, incoming Trump White House Communications Director Steven Cheung told the Daily Beast.
“President Trump is selecting the most qualified individuals for his second term to fulfill the commitments he made during his campaign,” Cheung explained. “Sergio has been a dependable and loyal advisor to President Trump, possessing the essential qualifications to guarantee that competent and pro-American individuals work within the administration.”
“He’s going to serve as the general manager of the government,” Gaetz noted to The Post about his close associate Gor, who presided over the wedding of the scandal-plagued former congressman—and past contender for Trump’s attorney general—when he married Ginger Luckey on Catalina Island off California’s coast in 2021.
Gor has consistently shown his willingness to engage with controversy to literally deliver for Trump.
For instance, he once helped convey a message from Trump to Russian President Vladimir Putin. In 2018, he traveled with his then-boss, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), to Moscow with the task of delivering Trump’s letter to the Kremlin. At that time, Paul was a prominent supporter of Trump’s relationship with Putin.
Now, Trump’s unassuming advisor is stepping into the spotlight to assess thousands of candidates before deciding whether to endorse them for positions in Trump’s administration.
He shares a bond with Trump, the father, that is as strong as his connection with the eldest son—or perhaps even stronger.
“I suspect he’s dined with my father more in the past year than I have,” Trump Jr. remarked.
