Meghan McCain urged her audience to prioritize health check-ups after posting a surprising health update on social media.
The self-identified “political nepo baby” and ex-co-host of The View disclosed that she underwent a biopsy for a mass found in her breast, which fortunately was determined to be benign. “I can’t express how blessed, fortunate, and relieved I feel, but for every woman following my account or my work, PLEASE get your mammograms,” she shared on Instagram. “This is so crucial and essential, and it’s something many of us tend to delay. I’m 40, and this was a major scare for me.”
John McCain, her father and both the former Republican senator for Arizona and 2008 Presidential candidate, passed away in 2018 at age 81 due to a glioblastoma brain tumor. The late senator had undergone radiation and chemotherapy treatment after the illness was identified just a year earlier.
“Doctors, nurses, pathologists, and mammogram coordinators—each of these individuals are truly selfless angels who exist among us,” Meghan McCain further expressed in her Instagram post. “I am eternally thankful to every single health care worker.”
