President-elect Donald Trump has shared his customary Thanksgiving greetings directed at his critics on his social media platform, Truth Social.
The somewhat disjointed message, which appeared just before 1 a.m. Thursday, began with, “Happy Thanksgiving to all,” but—predictably—some individuals in the U.S. found themselves targeted.
Trump criticized: “Happy Thanksgiving to all, even to the Radical Left Lunatics who have tirelessly attempted to ruin our Nation, but who have utterly failed, and will always fail, because their ideas and policies are so disastrously poor that the wonderful people of our Country just delivered a landslide victory to those who aim to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
He then paused, switched back to lower case, and continued: “Don’t worry, our Country will soon be esteemed, productive, fair, and strong, and you will be, more than ever, proud to be an American!” He subsequently shared this message on his friend Elon Musk’s platform, X.
He employed the “ruin our country” rhetoric in a comparable Thanksgiving post on Truth Social last year.
That earlier message also forecasted the future, stating: “Have no fear, however, we will WIN the Presidential Election of 2024, & MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!”
Trump’s intense holiday messages have consistently featured in his social media activity, dating back to the notable “Happy Thanksgiving to all—even the haters and losers!” in 2013.
Following his early morning post, Trump took nearly an eight-hour hiatus before posting a more soothing message. He shared a picture of himself smiling alongside a police officer, with the phrase “Happy Thanksgiving! 2024″ prominently displayed on the image.
