Given that President-elect Donald Trump attracted approximately 2.5 million additional voters this election season, the likelihood of encountering a secret MAGA supporter within your circle of friends has significantly increased.
However, it’s rare for anyone to directly confess to becoming fully MAGA—or adopting #DarkMAGA like Elon Musk. But those affiliated with Trumpland have made it clear that there are telltale signs: sun-kissed Florida complexions, voluminous hairstyles, heavy makeup, and sculpted physiques that could easily have come from a Victoria’s Secret catalog—and that’s just concerning the men!
This trend, often referred to as “Mar-a-Lago” face, has seemingly taken the political arena by storm overnight, with its signature fillers and sharply defined cheekbones already beginning to appear within the halls of Capitol Hill as Trump prepares for his inauguration in January.
Moreover, with Trump selecting nearly half of his cabinet from the well-groomed contributors and anchors of Fox News, individuals who are quite at ease in the makeup chair, the American populace will likely witness even more instances of “Mar-a-Lago” face being broadcasted live from the West Wing.
Yet, what appears flattering on television may not always look the same in photographs or standard video, and social media users are keenly observing this by creating memes inspired by the Mar-a-Lago transformation.
While the Daily Beast has not confirmed whether any of those within Trump’s inner circle have sought enhancements, figures such as Lara Trump, Matt Gaetz, and Laura Loomer have been pointed out for their beauty evolutions.
“The transformation of Laura Loomer from an average-looking person to resembling Jigsaw is one of the most astonishing changes I’ve ever witnessed,” stated one social media user regarding Loomer’s altered appearance.
Then we have South Dakota Governor Kristen Noem, who seems to have transformed from a basic Great Plains politician to a Fox News substitute.
Commenting on her transformation, a social media user remarked, “Kristi Noem received a MAGA makeover. Yet, with the added hair extensions, dental veneers, lip fillers, and Botox treatments, she just resembles fellow dog-lover, Lara Trump.”
As for Lara, online comparisons showcase images of her and her husband Eric from years past, highlighting the dramatic change in appearance from over a decade ago to present day.
Additionally, there’s Guilfoyle, who seems to have experienced not only a physical change but also a personal transformation—from a budding legal career and a relationship with liberal California Governor Gavin Newsom to nearly being overshadowed as Donald Trump Jr.’s “mamacita.”
“The plastic surgery of Donald Trump Jr.’s fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle looks botched,” were the thoughts of one X user during her appearance at the RNC in July.
Former congressman and unsuccessful attorney general candidate Gaetz also surprised attendees when he looked as though he had just stepped out of a plastic surgeon’s office at the GOP event.
However, experts suggest that “Mar-a-Lago face” is transcending political affiliations.
“Everyone is getting a bit of a touch-up,’’ stated dermatologist Tina Alster in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. Alster indicated that prominently known figures like Nancy Pelosi and Wolf Blitzer are among her clientele, being one of Washington, D.C.’s sought-after dermatologists. She noted, “Kamala has been maintaining her look for quite some time, Biden’s Botox could occasionally be excessive, and Trump’s ruddy complexion requires some maintenance.”
President-elect Trump seems to be keeping his enhancements straightforward with a set of rumored veneers and a light application of bronzer. Yet, as he advances through the years of his upcoming term and approaches 80, he might turn to neuromodulators to counter any claims of a tired-looking Trump.
A recent study has indicated that Botox treatments are linked with diminished empathetic responses and reduced brain activity in response to emotional stimuli, as reported by Unherd. This could potentially lead to even more outrageous moments from Trump. But he will undoubtedly look good doing it.
