On Thursday, Joy Reid admonished Latino men, a group that favored Donald Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris, stating, “You are responsible for all that occurs within your mixed-status families.”
During her segment on MSNBC, following comments from a Latino radio host in Pennsylvania who attributed Harris’ poor performance to sexism among Latino men, Reid addressed them directly.
“Despite 91 percent of Black women supporting Kamala Harris, 53 percent of white women still cast their votes for Trump, even in the face of the blatant disrespect and vilification directed at them by JD Vance and the Supreme Court’s erosion of women’s bodily rights, instigated by Donald Trump,” she began.
“Latino men, who, regardless of the significant disrespect exhibited by Trump and his commitment to deport some of your mixed-status families, voted in considerable numbers—55%—to facilitate those deportations,” she emphasized.
“You cast your votes alongside Stephen Miller and David Duke,” she said, referencing the designer of Trump’s family separation strategy and the former leader of the KKK, who had previously supported Trump but curiously – and seemingly overlooked by Reid – endorsed the Green Party’s Jill Stein this year.
“[You cast your votes] in opposition to your own sisters, who backed Kamala Harris with 60% of their votes,” Reid remarked. “Consequently, you bear responsibility for everything that happens to your mixed-status families, as well as your wives, sisters, and grandmothers moving forward.”
Reid, of course, has form when it comes to unhinged rants… which is why she works at MSNBC, enough said.
