Little by little, more and more users are taking advantage of the benefits that Artificial Intelligence offers us to apply them in their daily tasks and activities. While at the beginning we all turned to ChatGPT for everything, now with platforms of all kinds and colors, we have much more to choose from.
Undoubtedly, one of the biggest rivals of OpenAI’s AI is Google’s own AI, called Gemini, which although it arrived a few months later, has quickly cut a path and positioned itself as a very viable alternative.
And ChatGPT must be even more concerned, since as of this Wednesday, June 5th, the Gemini app for mobile phones arrives in Spain, among other European countries. While Gemini was launched in February of this year, up to now European users could only access it from the web version and therefore the experience was not as comfortable as one might expect.
But starting this Wednesday, users will be able to download the official Android app to access the Gemini chatbot, where they can chat with this generative AI and ask it all kinds of questions, doubts or request it to generate texts, images or other creative tasks for which it is capable through text commands, voice or uploading an image.
At the same time, you will also be able to interact with the ‘chatbot’ through Google Assistant, where it allows you to set alarms, make phone calls and control smart home devices, among other functions.
As for iOS users, the Gemini app will arrive on Apple’s platform in the coming weeks with an update of the Google application, so for now they will have to settle for accessing Gemini from the web version.
